What Is Lipsmatch?
Lipsmatch is the visual dubbing technology built by Insanely Elegant. It re-animates a speaker's on-screen lip movement, frame by frame, to match new dialogue in another language, so a film dubbed with Lipsmatch looks originally shot in every language it airs in. The dialogue is performed by a native voice actor, carried into the original talent's cloned voice with consent, and every version passes native-speaker review and broadcast QC. It has shipped in more than 100 broadcast-ready ads with over 500 million views, across 90+ languages and accents.

The problem Lipsmatch solves
Traditional dubbing replaces a film's audio and leaves the picture untouched, so the mouth on screen keeps speaking the original language. Audiences accept that mismatch in long-form content and punish it in advertising, where a 30-second film depends on believability and the speaker's face is usually the message. Subtitles avoid the mismatch by leaving the audio foreign, which costs the film its voice entirely.
Lipsmatch closes the gap from the picture side: the audio becomes native, and the on-screen articulation follows it exactly. The practical effect is that one master film can carry a brand into every market it advertises in, at a fraction of the cost of shooting per market, without looking localised at all.
How Lipsmatch works
Every Lipsmatch delivery runs through five stages, and each exists because the one before it is not enough alone.
- Adaptation. A native writer rewrites the dialogue to the picture, matching pacing, idiom and the brand's register in the target language.
- Performance. A native voice actor performs the adapted dialogue, driving the timing, dialect and emotional read.
- Voice. The performance is carried into the chosen voice, most powerfully a cloned model of the original on-screen talent, produced with documented consent.
- Re-animation. The speaker's lip movement is regenerated frame by frame against the performed audio, preserving identity, expression and head motion, through real shoot conditions: profile angles, occlusions, several faces in frame, fast dialogue.
- Review and finishing. Native speakers review every cut, and the film is finished to broadcast standards up to 4K/ProRes.
Lipsmatch and generic AI lipsync
AI lipsync is the underlying technique, and many tools offer a version of it. Lipsmatch is the complete pipeline built around that technique for broadcast advertising: the adaptation and casting in front of it, the consent and rights handling around it, the manual correction behind it on difficult shots, and the QC gate after it. The distinction matters because raw lipsync output on an easy talking-head clip and a broadcast-ready celebrity campaign are different products, and the second is the one Lipsmatch was built to deliver. Our terminology guide maps the wider vocabulary, and the software-versus-studio comparison covers when each model fits.
Where it is proven
Lipsmatch has delivered more than 100 broadcast-ready ad films with over 500 million views, for brands including Britannia, Ching's Secret, Candyman and Good Day. Representative work: the NutriChoice campaign with Aamir Khan, where the star's own cloned voice carries every language version; the Good Day campaign across 10 Indian languages; and the Fifty-Fifty Golmaal 8-language release. The selected work page shows the finished standard, and Lipsmatch for filmmakers covers long-form use.
